Got to Neeraj’s place and it was still pretty dark outside. I was hoping to catch the football game between USA vs. Italy, till I realized that wasn’t till the next day (Sunday in New Zealand). After that was settled, Neeraj gave me a tour of his pad and it is an amazing place on top of hill and breath taking view from their balcony (see left in my sun-rise picture). Also got the first taste of a bit of Kiwi culture and history regarding the Silver Fern which is a national symbol for New Zealand, what you see in my picture is how the stem is created and really the birth of a new branch in my friends front yard.
It’s about 9:30 am here and it’s finally stopped pouring, am still waiting for luggage to come before I head to explore the city.
